CARDINAL CHORD COLLEGE10-12 JULY 2009Resources
Class Descriptions We have some exciting news for you concerning this year's Cardinal Chord College (CCC). Thanks to the foresight of your Board of Directors, the District is now able to provide music education services to you at a significantly reduced cost! This year the registration fee for a "full ride" at CCC has been REDUCED TO $75, and the "Commuter Rate" REDUCED TO $30! These rates are for anyone who wants to attend! With costs this low, you need to get your calendars out right now and mark the days of July 10, 11, and 12 as your three days at CCC! With that done, send your registration form and check to Steve Albert before the day is over! Please note that we are using two different methods of registering. Depending on your situation, you can either enroll using the individual registration form, or if you plan on attending CCC as a member of a quartet or chorus, we ask that you use the quartet/chorus form. Instructors for the weekend include:
Once again, we will be using the great facilities at Indiana Wesleyan University, Marion, Indiana Your full registration will include a Friday night show featuring the Harmony Explosion Chorus, followed by some great District and International quartets. Commuters and parents may attend this show for only $5 and children under 18 will be admitted free! Then immediately after the show, we will gather in the Student Center to continue registration for the late arrivals, socialize and engage in some tag singing with our friends and guests. On Saturday your day will be filled with educational sessions that are geared towards the improvement and development of your chorus, quartet or personal singing. Commuters will enjoy Saturday lunch and dinner, and full tuition members also receive Saturday and Sunday breakfast. Sunday will include a two hour class, a short general session, and you should be on your way home no later than 11:30 AM. It should be noted that we have also changed this year's class format. Classes will be oriented towards singing, and they will be based on your level of chorus or quartet experience. Your registration input will guide the CCC staff to custom tailor the weekend to serve you. Choruses and quartets will be given special coaching that will help elevate their scores at their next competition.
